Olivia Papakyrikos, MA Clinician/ Clinical Sport Psychology Consultant
Olivia Papakyrikos, M.A. is a Mental Health Counselor and Clinical Sport Psychology Consultant who aims to help individuals enhance their mental wellbeing and maximize performance. She earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling with a concentration in Sport Psychology from Boston University and while her license is pending, is currently working under the supervision of Sharon Chirban, Ph.D.
Olivia was a collegiate field hockey player who faced numerous challenges during her athletic career. Olivia understands the mental challenges of recovering from an injury through her own experience with compartment syndrome. During her athletic career, she was able to work with a Sport Psychologist who helped her tackle the mental barriers of returning to her sport following injury. This sparked her passion to help other athletes and high-performing individuals improve performance in their sport and in all other areas of their lives.
In addition to her work at Amplify Wellness + Performance, Olivia practices as a clinician at Walden Behavioral Care, where she treats eating disorders. She is a member of the GOALS team at Walden, which specifically focuses on the athlete and high-performance population. She also has experience working in a residential treatment setting and working with a variety of mental health diagnoses.
Olivia utilizes a strength-based, person-centered approach while also implementing cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies. Olivia strives to cultivate a supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to share their own experiences and struggles. This environment empowers clients to work towards their goals and make changes at their own pace.
