Christina Figueroa, RD, CSSD, Nutritionist/Sports Dietician
Christina found her passion for helping people develop healthy relationship with food through her of 20+ years as a dancer. She is now a registered and licensed dietitian/nutritionist and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). Christina understands the demands and pressures that come with sport involvement. She is passionate about helping athletes, performance artists, and weekend warriors of all ages perform and feel their best.
Christina is experienced in counseling individuals for performance/sport nutrition, wellness, and eating disorders/disordered eating. She uses a non-diet and body positive approach. Additionally, she enjoys providing group, team, and family nutrition education, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and guest speaking within the community.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and her master’s degree in Applied Nutrition with a concentration in Sport and Fitness Nutrition from Northeastern University. Professional memberships include the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), Behavioral Health Nutrition (BHN) dietetic practice group, and Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) dietetic practice group. She is also a selected member of SCAN’s “Expanding the Arena” task force.
Christina is from Laredo, Texas and for fun, she explores Boston and new restaurants, takes Zumba classes, listens to live music, and travels to see family and friends.
