Christina Figueroa is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin where she also completed 1,000+ supervised practice hours through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. Christina earned her Master’s Degree in Applied Nutrition with a concentration in Sport and Fitness Nutrition from Northeastern University.
As a dancer of 20+ years, Christina understands the demands and pressures that come with sport involvement. She has a passion to help athletes, performance artists, and weekend warriors of all ages perform and feel their best.
Christina is experienced in counseling individuals for performance/sport nutrition, wellness, and eating disorders/disordered eating. She uses a non-diet and body positive approach. Additionally, she enjoys providing group, team, and family nutrition education, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and guest speaking within the community.
Professional memberships include the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Collegiate & Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), Behavioral Health Nutrition (BHN) dietetic practice group, and Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition (SCAN) dietetic practice group. She is also a selected member of SCAN’s “Expanding the Arena” task force.
